Snap-N-Trac modular pieces are manufactured out of reinforced, UV protected Polypropylene plastic. Why Polypropylene? Polypropylene is a high-strength, monolithic material that will not corrode, become brittle, or de-laminate, even when exposed to the most aggressive chemicals, over very long periods of time. It has very low moisture absorption, is compatible with both high and low temperatures. It is exceptionally stress and crack-resistant, and has excellent dielectric properties as well. Polypropylene is very resilient, It has a high strength-to-weight ratio. Polypro is the lightest in weight of any thermoplastic. It is exceptionally resistant to strong acids - even at high temperatures - and is also highly resistant to alkalis and oxidizers Polypropylene has a long track record of success for the manufacture of thousands of products spanning countless industries. Securing components of the Snap-N-Trac system Stainless hardware: Three # 4 stainless steel one-inch pan head screws are included for each Trac base section, providing a secure and reliable installation for many years to come. Trac Base key hole design: Trac Base key holes have been engineered to securely hold the snap shafts of installed modular pieces. The key hole lower narrower channel is pinched (slightly closed) at its top so that each snap shaft is securely held in place. When secured the modular piece will make a slight snap sound to let you know it is seated properly. Snap Shafts: Snap shafts on modular components have been engineered to fit into the Trac Base key hole system very tightly. With the shafts slightly flanged at their base they fit precisely into the lower key hole channel and as a result snug up tight to the Trac Base when snapped into place. Secure but with enough allowances for safe removal if needed. Breakaway safe: Even though your Snap-N-Trac system is secured using stainless steel screws its Snap Shaft assembly has been designed to break away without damaging the Trac Base or its sub-base. |
