Installation Methods:

Attach  your Snap-N-Trac system using the provided hardware or if you prefer

utilize a backplate. A back plate should be no smaller (width and length) then the total length of the trac base sections used to build your system and should be no less than 3/8" thick. Your back plate can be made of various types of wood, preferably hard woods like Teak, African Mahogany, Oak,  marine grade plywood or glue friendly plastics such as PVC or plexiglas type products. All wood back plates should be stained and oiled to insure a higher grade of water proofing as well as for a great look. Any of these type backplates can then be secured to your boat using, proper adhesives, double stick tape, velcro or a few screws. Your Snap-N-Trac system would be attached to the back plate using the hardware provided. If you make your backplate out of Star Board you will need to screw it to your boat ( 2-3 screws max) because Star Board is not adhesive friendly.
